OBIT: Grover C Flack and Charles Westphal drowned near Beaver slough while fishing from a flat boat. According to the account in the The Daily Times published Monday, July 9, 1928, ..."The men were paddling their boat through the mouth of Mill Creek when they encountered the sand boat, Arthur S, and were caught in the swell made by that craft and their boat was capsized in deep water."
