Funeral services will be at 2:30 Monday from the Christian Church in Creston, Wash., for Larry R. Brown, 30, one of two Spokane hunters whose bodies were found this week in northern Pen Oreille County, ending an 11-day search. Burial will be in the Creston Cemetery.
Cause of death, unofficially, was believed to be exposure.
Mr. Brown, as six-year employee of the State Highway Department in Spokane, was and Army veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of the Eagles Lodge in Spokane.
He is survived by his wife, Merla, and two daughters, Wendy and Wanda all at home. N5421 Howard, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Brown Jr., Creston; a brother, Darrel, Spokane, and a sister, Beverly Vaughan, Santa Clara, Calif.
The family suggested any memorial gift may be made to the Larry Brown Memorial Fund in care of the Strate Funeral Home, Davenport, which is handling arrangements. Mr. Brown was a native of Davenport.
