Spc. Adriana Nicole Salem of Elk Grove Village since 1986 A Mass for Spc. Adriana Nicole Salem, 21, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Queen of the Rosary Church, Elk Grove Village. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village. Born in LaGrange, she passed away Friday, March 4, 2005, in Iraq. She was a 2001 graduate of Elk Grove High School and enlisted in the Army after September 11. She is survived by her parents, Sandra E. Salem and Shamshoum "Sam" Salem; sisters, Christina Salem-Hasselbrink, Sabrina Salem, Alexandria Salem and Larissa Salem; grandparents, Angela (the late Mario) DiPaolo and the late Reda and Wedad Salem; aunts and uncles, Edward, Elisabeth, Delila, Mona, Naeem, George, Sammy, Nadia and Fabra; great-aunt, Caroline DiPaolo; nephews, Trevor and Connor; and dear friend, Linda Jensen. In lieu of flowers, donations to Elk Grove High School in her memory are appreciated.
