Funeral services were held from the Emmanual Lutheran Church in Reardan Monday morning, Sept 14 for Adolph Miller of Reardan. Graveside services in the afternoon at the Wilbur Cemetery were concluded with Masonic rites, conducted by Reardan Masonic Lodge No. 146 F & AM Pastor Philip Falk, Reardan, officiated. Pall bearers were grandchildren of Miller. Survivors are three sons, Stanley Miller, Chewelah, WA; Vernon Miller, DVD Electric City, WA; Donivon Miller, Harrington, WA; two daughters, Jean Angstrom and Joyce Bauer, both of Wilbur; three brothers, Etlar Miller, Seattle, WA; Otto Miller, Spokane, WA; Folmar Miller, Airway Heights, WA; one sister, Flora Jones, Seattle, WA; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Miller was a member and past master of Reardan Lodge No. 141 F & AM; Scottish Rite Bodies; El Katif Shrine, of Spokane; Past Patron of Chewelah Chapter No. 101 and of Starlight Chapter No. 90, Reardan; Reardan Lions Club, and Addy Grange. Miller was born in Chicago, IL, on Feb 15, 1891 and came with his family to Wilbur when he was 12 years old. He worked and farmed for many years in the area and in 1931, with his wife and five children, moved to a farm near Addy, WA. He later operated a dairy farm on the outskirts of Chewelah, WA. In 1953 he and his wife retired and moved to Reardan, WA, where he lived until the time of his death. His wife, Etta Miller, preceded him in death on Jan 30, 1978.
