Pleasant Gibson Hayes, 87, died at his home on the old Cal Gibson farm a few miles from Glen Alice on Friday, March 25 from pneumonia and leakage of the heart.
Funeral services were conducted at the home Sunday by Rev W J Riddle with interment at Dogwood cemetery.
His wife passed away in 1917. He leaves 7 children, 1 brother, 3 sisters.
For many years he was prominent in his home section in a political way and was a noted hunter in his early days.
