Anderson, age 98.—Born in Winterset, Ohio on March 2, 1905 to Edgar and May (Tuttle) Anderson; passed away Oct 10, 2003. Graduated from Harrington (WA) High School in 1922. Attended the University of Washington, then University of Oregon School of Medicine, graduating in 1931. John practiced family medicine in Almira, WA from 1932 to 1940 after his internship. His practice in Wilbur, WA lasted from 1940 to full retirement in 1991. During some of those years, he was the Lincoln County Health Officer. Survivors include Grace Towers of Everett, WA and Bennett (Jan) Anderson of Mercer Island, WA; six grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace, in 1978; brother, Charles; sisters, Maude, Pearl and Helen. Private graveside services will be followed by a celebration of John's life on Sunday, Oct 26, 2003 at the Wilbur Community Center at 1 p.m.
