FUNERAL SERVICES FOR JAMES T. RED SET FOR WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for James Thomas Red, 74, will be held Wednesday at 2pm in the Corley Chapel. Roy Hendrix of the Jehovah Witness from Dallas will officiate. Burial will be in the Wortham Cemetery. Red was a Jehovah Witness and was a farmer-cattleman. He had resided in Mexia for about 2 years, having moved from Wortham, where he was born and lived most of his life. Red died Monday afternoon at 5:50
in his home at 704 Evelyn St. following a stroke. Survived by his wife of Mexia, a step-son, H.D. Teer, of Corsicana; a brother S.B. Red of Houston and 6 sisters, Mrs. J.L. Red, Mrs. R.C. Hilbert and Mrs. E.J. Blackloupe all of Mexia, Mrs. J.A. Blakeley of Fairfield, Mrs. H.F. Schaer of Houston and Mrs. S.R. Coker of Los Angeles, Ca. Pallbearers will be Clifford Meridith, George Hamilton, Clyde Chambers, Leonard B. Hearne, James Dushane Jr. and Bennie Mandeville.
