SHAMROCK - Bessie Mae Stokes, 98, died Thursday, May 17, 2001.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Shamrock Cemetery with Brother Joe G. Jernigan officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Directors of Shamrock.

Mrs. Stokes was born March 29, 1903, in Bennine. She lived in Shamrock most of her life and was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Robert Stokes of Shamrock; a sister, Winifred Cassidy of Grants Pass, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
