Lloyd was born in Bugtussle to Edward & Eva Gibson Perteet. He attended schools in Pittsburg, Oklahoma and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1942. He married Lola Faye James on October 22, 1945. She preceded him in death on September 11, 1986. Lloyd worked at a Ford dealership in Hanford, California from 1945 to 1952 and at Million Ford in McAlester from 1952 to 1966. He then worked at the United States Naval Ammunition Plant from 1966 until he retired in 1987 as an automotive inspector. Lloyd then married Bell Brownlee on January 1, 1987 in McAlester. He loved fishing & hunting and working on his farm west of Haywood, Oklahoma where he raised cattle, hay and peanuts. Survivors include his wife: Bell Perteet of the home; children & spouses: Jerry & Tracy Perteet of McAlester, Don & Monica Brownlee of South Carolina, Diane Brownlee of Tulsa; grandchildren & spouses: Brent & Jessica Perteet of Stillwater, Daniel & Jolleen Perteet of Oklahoma City, Dr. Rachel Perteet of Anna, Tx, Keli Perteet of McAlester, Shawna & Tracy Cargill of McAlester, Adrian Brownlee of McAlester. And, great-grandchildren: Micah & Julianna Perteet of Stillwater, Erin Perteet of Oklahoma City, Karmyn Carter of McAlester, Tanner Cargill of McAlester, Bailey Cargill of McAlester, Andrew Brownlee of South Carolina; and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Leon Perteet and Euel Perteet. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at the Bishop Chapel of Memories with Rev. Larry Jones & Rev. Don Perteet officiating. Interment will be at Perteet Family Cemetery in Bugtussle. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be James Perteet, Jeff Perteet, Barrett Fadler, Terry James, Ron Bechtold, and Kenny Holman. Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Perteet, Daniel Perteet, Dr. Rachel Pertee, and Keli Perteet.
