BORGER - Mary J. Smith, 72, died Friday, April 25, 1997.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 5 p.m. in the Shamrock Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. Smith was born in Gainesville. She had been a Borger resident for 45 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd V. Smith in 1982, and a daughter, Melinda K. Smith Zapatas. Survivors include a son, Jeff Smith of Perryton; a brother, Julius Schmitz of Denton; a sister, Laverne Brinlee of Ivanhoe; her mother, Catherine Schmitz of Bonham; and two grandchildren.
