Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Cole, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Schaffner was born in Nolan County and graduated from high school in Abilene. She married Edward Nicholas Schaffner in 1931. They moved to Shamrock in 1939 and began operating D&S Cleaners. Mr. Schaffner died in 1996.
Mrs. Schaffner was a member of First United Methodist Church and served the church in many capacities. She also was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and the Thursday Literary Club, and she served on the board of the Pioneer West Museum.
