Lora (Thomaselli) West, 83 of Wellsburg, WV passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Monday, March 4, 2013 at Ann's Country Retreat.
Lora was born on October 28, 1929 in Follansbee, WV a daughter of the late Vincenzo "James" and Anna (Ventresca) Thomaselli. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, George Samuel West, Sr. in 2000, two sons, George Samuel, Jr. and Ricky J. West and an infant grandson, James A. West, and one brother, Geno Thomaselli.
Lora was a homemaker and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
She is survived by three children, Ronald W. (Sandra) West, Cranberry Township, PA, Thomas J. West, Atlanta, GA, and Tamara A. McClure, Wellsburg, WV. Two sisters, Italia "Tillie" Thomaselli Comisso, Columbus, OH, Lena Chappel, Weirton, WV One sister-in-law, Pauline Thomaselli, Follansbee, WV Two grandchildren, Brian West and Jennifer West Two great grandsons, Samuel J. West, and Gabriel Kukkonen Several nieces and nephews
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7th, from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV. Vigil service will be held on Thursday, March 7th at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 8th at 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 1300 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV with the Rev. Fr. Dan Pisano as celebrant. Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery in Wellsburg, WV. Lora's family would like to thank the staff at Ann's Country Retreat for the great care they gave their mother.
