Christopher Shannon Garner, 36, of Seagrove, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at New Center Christian Church in Seagrove, with the Rev. Ralph Smith Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Garner Family cemetery in Robbins.

Mr. Garner was born in Moore County to David L. Garner and Lola E. Maness.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Quimby L. Garner.

He loved to fish, ride his four-wheeler, shoot pool, and listen to country and oldie music. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his children.

Surviving are his wife, Becky Garner, of the home; daughters, Katelyn G. Burton, of Seven Lakes, Makala D. Garner, Haley M. Garner, and a son, Michael A. Garner, all of the home; his mother, Lola E. Maness, of Seagrove; father, David Garner of the home; grandparents, Beauford Odell Maness, Louise Moore Maness, of Seagrove, and Larry Marie Garner, of Robbins.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Joyce-Brady Chapel in Bennett.
