Fessler, Frank J. Frank J. Fessler, 90, of 6232 Hwy. 151, Manitowoc, died early Sunday morning,
July 5, at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph
Catholic Church, Silver Lake, by the Rev. Julian C. Resch, O Praem. Burial will
be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Fessler was born May 1, 1891, in Manitowoc County, son of the late Anton and
Christine Trost Fessler. He was a Manitowoc County resident all his life and
married Isabel Gehrig Sept. 1, 1924, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz.
They owned and operated their own farm in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids, where
they resided all their married life. They retired from active farming in 1960.
Mr. Fessler was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Parish, Silver Lake, and Holy Name
Society.
Survivors include his wife, Isabel, a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Joan
Fessler of Whitelaw; five daughters and sons-in-law, Rosemary and Howard Lensmire
and Mildred and Meldon Kelley of Manitowoc, Marjorie and Melvin Eschen of New
Holstein, Annabelle and Emery Casper of Plymouth and Jean and Robert Eis of
Mishicot; a brother and three sisters-in-law, August and Emma Fessler, Mrs. Mayme
Fessler and Mrs. Antoinette Fessler of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Baryenbruch
of Manitowoc and Mrs. Ann Ewald of Milwaukee; 18 grandchild (sic). Eight brothers
and three granddaughters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday
afternoon. A prayer service will be at 8 o'clock by Father Resch.
