A prayer service for Jean will be 8pm Wednesday March 6th at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville with Rev. Jane Eastham, pastor of the Henderson United Methodist Church officiating. Spring burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the prayer service from 6 pm – 8pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Jefferson Co., 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 13601.
Jean was born in the Town of Clayton a daughter of William and Ruth Liscomb Weaver. She started her education in Depauville schools and graduated from Henderson Central School. Following her education she worked on Association Island, Henderson Harbor. Jean later worked for Kinney Drugs in Adams and later Pearson and Timmerman in Watertown for many years.
Jean bowled in local leagues for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, flower gardening, fishing, and country music and watching professional wrestling.
She is survived by two nephews, Dennis Jareo, Ellisburg; Gary "Buck" Jareo, Gouverneur. Three nieces Connie Miner, Adams; Debbi Robinson, Panama City, FL and Lisa Magos, Adams. Several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Betty Phelps and two brothers Gerald Weaver and Melvin "Jack" Weaver.
