LESLIE ANNE POWELL, 24 of Sherwood, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013. Leslie was born Jan. 26, 1989 in North Little Rock to Annette (Cole) Krebs and Allen Lynn Powell.
Leslie loved to sew, and was currently Assistant Manager at Hancock Fabrics in North Little Rock. She was a Christian and a wonderful mother and daughter. She was an open-minded, loving and compassionate person. She is survived by son Ethan Powell; mother Annette Krebs and husband Art of Jacksonville; father Allen Lynn Powell and partner Angel Martinez of Dallas; companion and father of her son, Michael Powell; grandparents Harold & Charlotte Cole, Rachel & Joe Martinez, and Alice Sullivan; and a multitude of family members and friends. She is preceded in death by grandparents Malcolm & Lucille Powell, Franklin Krebs, Sr., and great grandparents Dick & Elsie Cole.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2012 at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 W. Main St., Jacksonville. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Old Military Road Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Marvin Barham and Stubby Stumbaugh. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cabot. Pallbearers will be Derek Standridge, Justin Standridge, Dakota Cole, Blake Smith, Dylan Johnston, and Drew Lindley. Honorary pallbearers will be Lauren Johnston and Alesia Duffy.
