Born in Italy, he was brought to this country as an infant. He resided 35 years in the Garwood and Westfield area before moving to Scotch Plains nine years ago.
He retired in 1965 from the Purolator Co., Rahway, where he was employed in plant protection. He was a communicant of St. Bartholomew's R.C. Church.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ida Nargi Capone; a brother, Mountainside Postmaster James J. Capone of Westfield; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Brancaccio of Westfield, Mrs. Eve Soltis Soper of Berkeley Heights and Mrs. Helen Lucca of Flemington.
The funeral was held yesterday at the Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield and at St. Bartholomew's Church Scotch Plains, where a funeral mass was offered by the Rev. John H. Doherty, assistant Pastor. Interment took place in Fairview Cemetery.
