Edwina Barbara Jones Martin, 62, joined her daughter in heaven on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010. Memorial service: 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Memorials: May be made to American Diabetes Association or www.takethelead.org. Edwina was born May 25, 1948, to A.E. and Buanita Jones. She grew up in Richland Hills and attended Haltom High School. She later earned a nursing degree from TCU. Edwina spent many years working for the Birdville ISD as a school nurse. On July 26, 1969, she married Jimmy Don Martin and together they had two children. Much of her life was spent raising and caring for animals. She was especially passionate and had a great love for her Italian greyhound dogs. The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and staff at Baylor All Saints, Baylor Medical Center Grapevine and Mimosa Manor for their wonderful care. She will always hold a special place in her daughter-in-law's heart. The loving bond between them the last few years will not be forgotten. She was preceded in death by her father, A.E. Jones, and daughter, Robin Martin. Survivors: Son, Donny Martin and wife, Emily; mother, Buanita Jones; sister, Olivia Boswell; granddaughters, Macee and Maloree Martin; nephew, Jim Boswell and wife, Dara, and their son, Chris; special friend, Mary Ann Smart; and the many extended relatives and friends who have had her in their prayers.
