GLOUSTER--Mrs. Opal Carpenter Keith, 69, died Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Funk, Glouster, after a long illness.
She was born in Athens, a daughter of the late Anderson and Lou Pruden Carpenter. She was a member of the Glouster Church of the Nazarene.
Survivng are six daughters, Mrs. Ann Lemoine and Mrs. Mary Funk, both of Glouster; Mrs. Bertine Stephens of Birmingham, AL; Mrs. Betty Rees of Hilliard; Mrs. Alice Noon of Caldwell; and Mrs. Connie Stahl of Dayton; six sons, Chester and Richard, both of Glouster; William Robert, Jr. of Jamestown; Andrew Jackson and Dennis both of Hilliard; and Larry of Heath; three brothers, Guy Carpenter of Glouster; and Charles and Ralph Carpenter both of Athens; two sisters, Mrs. Lola Poling of Athens and Mrs. Olive Henderson of Hartford, CT; 30 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Her husband, William, a son and a daughter, preceded her in death.
Arrangements will be announced by the Wiley funeral home.
