Jean C. Stewart
(June 22, 1911 - June 7, 2010)

OGDEN – Jean C. Stewart peacefully passed away on Monday, June 7, 2010, surrounded in her final hours by her loving children and grandchildren.

Mom was born on June 22, 1911 in Ogden, Utah to Walter A. and Mabel Moore Cardon. She graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber State College.

She met her husband, Warren H. Stewart, while working as a teller at Commercial Security Bank. They were married on September 11, 1942. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Ogden LDS Temple.

She worked at the Internal Revenue Service as a tax examiner.

Mom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved the church and its teachings.

Mom's greatest joy in life was her family, which was evident in the loving care she showered on them; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was happiest when she could sit among them and enjoy their laughter, stories and chatter. Some of her favorite things to do with her family were picnics, parades, trips to Yellowstone, Bear Lake, and traditional super bowl parties, Easter egg hunts, and Christmas breakfast.

Mom loved to knit, play scrabble, cards and was an avid reader. When Mom was involved in scouting, she taught us all to be proud of our country, which has followed down through the generations.

Jean is survived by two sons and one daughter, Robert E. (Yvonne) Stewart, South Weber; Douglas W. (Dayle) Stewart, North Ogden; Bonnie J. (Mark) Burnett, Ogden; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren with number 17 due in August.

Also surviving is one sister, Phyllis (William) Thomas, Carson City, NV.

Preceding Mom in death were her husband, parents, one sister and one brother.

Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd
