Ms. Adams was born Oct. 4, 1943 in St. Louis, MO. She was of the Baptist faith, and had worked as a waitress. Ms. Adams loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren, fishing and playing bingo.
Survivors include 5 children, Joseph Voirol, Jr., Melissa Stucker, Minette Hafford, Ernest Adams and Janette Roberts, all of Poplar Bluff; 3 sisters, Marilyn Silipo, of Festus, and Elizabeth Miles and Donna Joseseno, both of St. Louis; and 3 brothers, Walter Evans, Jr. and James Thompson, both of St. Louis and William Thompson, of Fredericktown.
Her father, Walter Evans, Sr., mother, Norma Hembree Thompson, and brother, Ronald Evans preceded Ms. Adams in death.
A gathering will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with a Celebration of Life Service following at 3 p.m. The Pastor Greg Gilberto will officiate. The family will have a private interment of ashes at Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff at a later date.
