Mrs. Joseph D. Banks -
The death of Amy DeMont Banks, wife of Joseph D. Banks of Torbrook Mines, occurred on Friday, Nov. 2, at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, following a serious operation. She was fifty-six years of age. In the immediate family there are left to mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother, a husband and five sons, Merle in the Navy, Leon of Belfast, Me., Chester, Claude and Jack, at home. The funeral was held at the United Church at Torbrook Mines, with Rev. L.B. Wright, officiating. Burial was in the cemetery, adjoining the church.
