Betty made many friends and enjoyed the warm winters of the South. She was a resident of Winwood Retirement, Marietta, Ga. for last five years. Betty was a woman of great faith, compassion and love for her family and friends. She was an artistic woman and belonged to the Creators Guild in Marion for many years. Betty was a member of the MGH Twigs and volunteered in the hospital gift shop. She was employed at Richmond Brothers Ladies Dept in Marion, Ohio for several years. Betty was a past member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Marion and a current member of the First Baptist Church of Marietta, Georgia.
As she told everyone frequently, and until her last moments, she had a full happy life and a loving family. Betty is survived by sons Rex A. Craven of Gettysburg, Pa and Roger L. (Micki) Craven of Woodstock, Georgia. She is also survived by grandchildren in Ga., Sara (Stephen) Miller, Dallas, Ga. and Sean (Brittany) Craven of Acworth, Ga.; great grandchildren Gavin and Liam Buyers, Taryn Elise Miller and Ansleigh Christyne Craven, all of Georgia. She is also survived by grandchildren in Va., Chad, Eric and Kurt Craven, Kara Simpkins and Brittany Smith and six great grandchildren; sister Janet (Koehler) Smith, Marion; nieces Cherly Bailey, Carolyn Hendricks and Lynda Lockerbie.
Ms. Craven was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Robert (Margaret) Koehler, sister Miriam (Don) Miller, and brother-in-law Richard Smith. A private family service was held at Boyd-Born Funeral Home and internment at Marion Cemetery.
