Neva M. Sullivan, 92, of Cortland, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013 in Lincoln. Neva was born on May 16, 1920 in Princeton to Robert & Elva (Rudder) Henderson. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary, loved counted cross-stitching, dominos, golf, bowling, and most of all, working alongside her husband, Harold, at their family owned grocery store, Sullivan's Market, for 34 years.
Neva is survived by her husband, Harold, who she was married to for 71+ years, daughters; Judy Espland, Janesville, WI, Connie (Mick) Abbott, Bella Vista, AR; sister, Erma Schwaninger, Firth, NE and 5 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Elva (Rudder) Henderson; sisters, Hazel Jackman and Goldie Aden; Son-in-Law, David Espland;
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am Monday (3/4/13) at St James Catholic Church of Cortland, 255 W 1st St, with Father Leo Seiker officiating. Visitation will be Sunday (3/3/13) 9am to 7pm. Neva's family will be present from 6pm to 7pm with the Rosary starting at 7pm at Butherus, Maser & Love FH, 4040 A St., Lincoln.
Interment will be held in St. James Catholic Cemetery.
