Paul F. Gerber, 87, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent's Mercy in Toledo on September 28, 2012. Paul was born December 31, 1924 in Bellevue also known as "Franks Corner" to the late Joseph and Lena (Meyer) Gerber.
Paul worked at Bellevue City Products and retired from Armstrong. He loved being a handy man and could fix anything.Paul was a member of Immaculate Conception Church where he served as an usher for many years. He was a lifetime member of the F.O.E. in Bellevue and Norwalk. He enjoyed dancing, camping, traveling the country, playing cards with family and sitting on the porch watching the birds. He enjoyed his life to the fullest.
He was our rock and role model, and will be missed but not forgotten.Surviving Paul are his beloved wife of 67 years, Barnita (Miller) Gerber; children, Pamela (Brian) Frost, Fredrick (Karen) Gerber, Diana (John, Jr.) Famulare, all of Bellevue; grandchildren, Todd Frost, Nathan Frost, Andrew Frost, Michael (Tara) Frost, Nina Frost, Jamison Gerber, Joseph Gerber, Michael Gerber, Cyrina Famulare, Brittany Famulare, John Famulare III, Autum Famulare, and great-grandchildren, Alivia Frost, Andrew Frost, Sierra Frost, Paige Frost, Derricka Frost, Carter Frost and Addison Frost; brothers, Wayne Gerber, Marvin Gerber, Irvin Gerber; and sister Yvonne Deppenit.He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lena (Meyer) Gerber, sister Mary Ellen, brothers Donald and Charles Gerber, and grandchildren April Frost and Jody Gerber.
Friends will be received on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 2-8 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 East Center Street, Bellevue
