Obituary:

Victor L. "Buzz" Kuchera, age 83, of Reedsburg, died on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. He was born on March 26, 1929 in Phillips, the son of Emil and Ella (Barta) Kuchera. Vic was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving with the U.S. Army. On September 2, 1950, he was married to the former Barbara J. Rick. Vic retired from Phillips Plastics. He had a band; "Vic and the Northeraires," and he enjoyed entertaining whenever possible. Vic was also very proud of restoring his 1931 Model A Ford.

Survivors include two children: Cheryl (Mike) Quinn of Reedsburg and Steven (Eileen) Kuchera of Tennessee; three grandchildren: Yvonne (Craig) Neumann of Loganville, Nicole (Michael) Williams of Reedsburg, and Jason (Deana) Roth of Battleground, Washington; ten great-grandchildren; his sister, Adeline (Charles) Aiani of Oconomowoc; his brother-in-law, Louis Legner of Mosinee; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, on February 21, 2008; his daughter, Vicki L. Roth; one brother, Edward (Kay) Kuchera; three sisters: Elsie (Pete) Pisca, Inez (John) Michek and Dorothy Legner. Graveside services will be conducted at the Lakeside Cemetery in Phillips later this spring.
