Beatty, Mary Elizabeth ( Mommie/MawMaw ), age 68, of Whitehall, Ohio, departed this life Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, OH. Born December 22, 1944 in Dayton to the late Burl H. and Johnnie Mae Hayes. A graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1963. She retired from DSCC after more than 30 years of service. Preceded in death by her husband, Gary Keith Beatty I, brother, Robert Hayes, sister-in-law, Evalena Hayes. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Rhine de'Angela, Gary Keith II (Shaunna) and Neikia L.S. Beatty, grandchildren, Keierrah D.S. and Keionnah D.S. Lair, Gary Keith III, Keishaun James and Keimari Daynel Beatty, brothers, Donald and David (Judy) Hayes, sisters, Rosetta Williams and Janice Hayes, best friend, Elizabeth Ann Bush, mother-in-law, Nora Simmons, special niece, Ronda Copeland (Scott), a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Pastor Mark J. Mays officiating. Interment West Memory Gardens. Visitation 10 am Tuesday at the funeral home until time of service. Family will receive friends from 12 to 1 pm.
