Amos Combs, 83 of Perryville, MD, died Friday, July 20, 2012 in the Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Mullens, WV, on July 19, 1929, he was the son of the late Andy and Jennie (Tabors) Combs. He served in the Army from 09/11/1952 to 08/30/1954 during the Korean Conflict. He was a Security Guard, employed by Thiokol before his retirement.
Mr. Combs is survived by his daughter: and his grandson. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife, Gertrude J. Combs, who died in 2000. There will be a funeral service, conduct by Rev. Bert Jicha, 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where there will be a viewing one hour before the service. Interment with full military honors will follow in the North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
