Pastor Jack Dowden officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Visitation 12-8pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Mr. Oatley will be at the church 10am Thursday until the time of the service.
Arden was born in Mesick, MI on November 21, 1926, the son of the late Charles and Ella (Gunn) Oatley and was a resident of both Mesick and Flint. On August 2, 1947, he married Opal Morris in Flint. Arden was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was also a "Ham" radio member. He was employed as an electrical maintenance employee with McDonald Dairy in Flint. Surviving are children, Mary Jane Oatley of Flint, Robert Oatley of Eden Prairie, MN, Ruth and husband Tim D. Glazier of Flint, and Janice Oatley of Flint; grandchildren, Alissa and husband Gary Stemen of Swartz Creek, Timothy A. Glazier of Norfolk VA and Carmen and husband Ben Anglin of Raleigh, NC; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
