Marvin J Steele, age 71 passed away Friday, March 01, 2013 at Piedmont-Newnan hospital. He was born June 29, 1941 in Carroll County to the late Mr. Harvey Lee Steele and Mrs. Helen Turner Steele. He worked in the maintenance department at Bonnell for more than 30 years and attended Trinity Baptist Church in Newnan. Survivors include son, Barry Steele of Carrollton; daughter, Sharon Baker of Panama City, Florida; son and daughter in law, Randy and Janice Davis of Carrollton; daughter and son in law, Kim and Russ Smith of Moultrie; step-daughter Jean Houston; sister and brother in law, Joyce and Walter Driver of Carrollton; sixteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a special friend, Ruth Bass Steele. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 04, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Rick Duncan and Jerome Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery. The AmVet Post #143 will perform the flag ceremony.
