68, of 350 Main Street, Dayton,
Va., passed away at his
home on Oct. 16, 2004. He
had not enjoyed good health
for nearly two years.
He was born on Jan. 8,
1936, the last child born at
Fort Harrison in Dayton,
son of the late Daniel
Wenger and Josie Good
Koogler. He spent most of
his life as a farmer in the
Dayton area.
On April 1,1958, he married
the former Norma Ruth
Rhodes, who survives.
Also surviving are three
sons, Dennis and wife, Anne,
Stanley and wife, Margaret,
and Eldon and wife, Irene,
all of Harrisonburg; a
daughter, Marilyn and husband,
Warren Beery ,of
Rushville and 17 grandchildren.
Also survived by four
brothers, Charles and wife,
Margaret, of Bridgewater,
James and wife, Mary, of
Mount Crawford, Eber of
Harrisonburg, Lewis of
Mount Crawford; two sisters,
Louise and husband,
John Rhodes of Dayton and
Mary Ellen of Dayton, wife
of the late William Showalter.
He was a member and
trustee of the Pleasant View
Old Order Mennonite
Church. Ministers of the
church will conduct the funeral
on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at
10 a.m. at the Pleasant View
Old Order Mennonite
Church. Burial will follow in
the church cemetery.
His body will be taken to
his home, where friends may
call at anytime.
On Monday, Oct. 18,
2004, his body will be taken
to the home of his son-in-law
and daughter, Warren and
Marilyn Beery at 7539
Rushville Road, Dayton, Va.,
where members of the family
will receive friends anytime
until 8 p.m.
