Cecil W. Edwards, 1139 Iowa Ave. N.E., died Tuesday evening at the Huron Nursing Home at the age of 60.
He was born July 1, 1917, at Capa to Mr. and Mrs. Ira J. Edwards. He lived at Capa until moving to Huron in 1957 due to ill health. He married Alice Thompson, Sept. 22, 1948, at Huron. He served overseas in World War II. He was a member of the Church of the Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints.
Survivors include his widow, Alice;; one daughter, Mrs. Bert (Sharon) Gednalske, Huron; two sons, Larry, Sioux Falls and Kenneth, Colman; foster daughters, Mrs. Paul (Debbie) Hjelm, Woonsocket; six grandchildren; five sisters, Beatrice Jeitz, Longview, Wash.; Agnes Sheely, Mitchell, Eunice Butler, Gervois, Ore., Vergie Nemec, Midland, and Grace Richards, Wyoming, Mich. He was preceded n death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
The Aaseth Funeral Home will announce arrangements which are incomplete.

The funeral for Cecil W. Edwards will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Aaseth Funeral Home with Donald Lee, president of the Huron Branch Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens with military rite.
Pallbearers will be Wes Ganske, Sam Biggerstaff, Earl Fleschner, Merle R. Lewis, John Conners and Clayton Whitney.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday afternoon or evening.
