Mary Ida Spicher of Denton, MD, died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Envoy Health Care in Denton. She was 94 years old. Born near Hobbs in Caroline County, Mrs. Spicher was the daughter of the late Clifton Wright and Martha Trice Wright. She and her husband, W. Marion Spicher, were married December 19, 1936. He died on January 3, 1995.
Mrs. Spicher graduated from Caroline High School, Class of 1935, in Denton. She became an accomplished seamstress, working for several companies and the last one she worked for was Ace Dress Co. in Harrington, DE. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Caroline Chapter #62. She enjoyed gardening and also travelling with family members.
Mrs. Spicher is survived by one son, Wayne Spicher and his wife, Carolyn of Denton. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul E. Wright and his wife, Frances.
