THAXTON – Stella Dean White, 74, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, in Oxford. She was a homemaker who loved her family and her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and being outside with nature.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Bro. William Milam and Bro. Michael Bishop will officiate. Burial will follow in Turnpike Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Freddie Lee White; a son, Freddie White Jr.; daughters, Ruby Hudson (Jimmy), Debra Bishop (Walter), Laura Bishop (Kenneth), Kathy Holloway (Alan); 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, John David Milam of Oxford, Dudley Milam of Grapevine, Texas, Robert Milam of Sardis; four sisters, Josephine Stevens of Sardis, Avis Whitt of Clarksdale, Agnes Holloway of Carrolton and Winnie Cyr of Pontchatoula, La.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Milam and Christine Milam; a daughter, Stella Christine Carwyle; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Price White.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Carwyle, Barry Carwyle, Thomas "Skip" White, Buddy White, Tyler Purdon, Matthew Holloway, Randy Sisco and Billy Joe White. David and Jonathan White will be honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from noon to service time Sunday.
