HELZER, ROSE (GROSZKOPF)
Mrs. Rose (Groskopf) Helzer daughter of Conrad and Anna Groskopf was born 20 Aug 1913 in Loma, CO and died very suddenly on 13, 1939 on the operating table in the hospital at the young age of 25 years 6 months and 21 days.
She spent her life on a farm near Mitchell, NE. Her last year was spent in Tarrington, WY. She received her Christian training growing up in her parents home. At the age of 15 she received her religious instruction, was confirmed by Pastor J. Houn and became a member of the Emmanuel Church in Scottsbluff, NE.
In 1934 she was united in holy matrimony with Phillip Helzer. The ceremony was performed by Pastor George Batt who was the pastor of the Emmanuel Church. This union was blessed with one little daughter, Norma Lou now 17 months old.
She leaves her deeply bereaved and lonely husband with his little daughter, her parents, 6 brothers, 2 sisters and her grandmother Anna Kammerzell.
The funeral service was conducted on 15 March from the Emmanuel Church. Her body was laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery.
