Elmer Anderson, son of Elmer Lee Anderson and Ethel Simmons Anderson was born March 5, 1930 in Springfield, Missouri, and passed away on February 28, 2013 at the age of 82 years. He attended Greenwood Laboratory School and was a graduate of Southwest Missouri State (now MSU). He served four years in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Returning home he was in the commercial photography business and later worked for a photofinishing business, retiring in 1992. He met and married his wife Betty in 1957 and she survives him. He is also survived by one brother, Jim Anderson; nephew, Jimmy Anderson and niece April Phillips and their families. Elmer and his wife enjoyed many years of travel and winters in Texas and South Carolina.

According to his wishes, services will be private with cremation, followed by burial in the National Cemetery in Springfield. Donations in his memory may be made to your favorite charity or the Humane Society of SW Missouri.
