He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, a member of the Middletown Fire Department, the Sunny Memories Camping Club, Army National Guard, retired from G.E. after 37 years and Middletown Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Hartmann Brooks; son, Donnie Brooks (Jean); daughters, Sherri Brooks Bernhardt and Debbie Brooks Smith (Craig); five grandchildren; and his "Special Body Guard" Frank McPherson.
Funeral ceremony is 10 a.m. Monday at the Middletown Christian Church with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive.
