In 1892, Orrin was working as a teamster for the Dunaway Lumber Yard in East Portland, Oregon.

Orin married 15 Mar 1917, Vancouver, Washington, Elizabeth (Jacobs-McFarlane) Claggett, daughter of Abraham Okey & Rebecca (Morley) Jacobs, who married 22 Dec 1848, Henry Co. Iowa.

Elizabeth Jacobs had married 1st, 11 Jan 1874, Alexander McFarlane (divorced 1899); she married 2nd, 1905, William J. D. Claggett (divorced 1908), and married 3rd, Orin. Elizabeth died 11 Dec 1932, aged 76y 6m 3d.
