Mrs. Manada Darrah, an old resident of Warren county and for many years a citizen of Little York, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles C McKee, east of Monmouth, November 7, 1909, after a long illness. Her maiden name was Palmer, and she was born in Ontario, Canada, in 1840, so was 69 years old at the time of her death. While yet a young girl she came to the Little York neighborhood with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Palmer then in 1867 she married C.B. Darrah. To them were born seven children, six of whom survived her. Mrs. McKee being the only one living in this neighborhood. She was a member of the Methodist church, and her funeral was conducted by Rev. Mr. Russell of Abingdon, with burial in the Reed cemetery in Henderson county.
