Herman was born June 10, 1917, in Corinth, ND, to Hans and Anna (Linseth) Hegseth. He married Lorraine LeMire in Sydney, MT, October 4, 1940. Herman farmed for most of his life and also did commercial cleaning with his son, Curt, for about five years. He also worked in the oil fields of North Dakota for 15 years. Herman enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved his grandchildren. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Browerville, and was a former member of the Big Lake Sportsman's Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorraine on October 24, 1997; brothers, Martin, Olaf and Erling and sisters, Mary and Hazel.
