Funeral Services for Frankie McClendon will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, the 4th of March 2013 at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches. Burial will follow in the Gorum Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches.
Frankie Rachal McClendon of Gorum, passed away on the 28th of February 2013 after a long illness. Frankie attended Northwestern State University and Louisiana State University earning her Master's Degree. She was a retired social rehabilitation counselor working within child services. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Burton McClendon, Sr.; her mother, Luedia Evelyn Cooley; her father, Frank Rachal; her brothers, Jonnie Earl Rachal and John Angus Rachal.
She is survived by her son, Walter "Augie" McClendon; her daughter in law, DeeAnna McClendon; her grand daughter, Allison Faye McClendon; and Margie and Jim Ball.
