Cameron………..Nadine Grace (Broussard) Stark, age 81, formerly of Mercer, passed from this life on February 15, 2013 in Cameron, Missouri. She had recently moved to Cameron to be near her family and was lovingly known as "Grandma Dean."

Nadine was born on September 22, 1931 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Ruth and Richard Broussard. During high school, her family moved to Mercer, MO where she met and married Ordie Stark, Sr. They were married 44 years and to that union five children were born: Linda, Jeannette Kay, Denise, Ordie Jr. and Douglas.

Nadine and Ordie raised their children in the Weatherby area and she worked at various jobs as a seamstress, a farm wife and as a CNA at Sunset Nursing Home in Maysville. She was very active in scouting, her church, and was in charge of crafts several years at Grand Oaks Camp in Chillicothe. Nadine had a snack bar in Weatherby and people came from miles around for her tenderloins and pie. She also served as the county collector.

Nadine and Ordie traveled all over Missouri building interstate highways when the children were young and in later life they traveled through the western U.S. working for the special services railroad division of Herzog Contractors Corporation in St. Joseph. When Ordie's health deteriorated, Herzog allowed Nadine to drive him to his job sites to oversee the crews.

Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, Ordie Orville Stark, Sr.; her parents, two daughters, Jeannette Kay and Denise Fraley; grandson, Stephen Plowman, and most recently her daughter-in-law, Mary Stark. Survivors include her three children: Linda (Gordon) Plowman of Lathrop, MO, Ordie Stark, Jr. of Weatherby, MO, and Douglas (June) Stark of Weatherby, MO; two brothers, Norman (Marsha) Broussard of Mercer, MO and Gerald (Edna) Broussard of Mercer, MO; and grandchildren: Haley Jo, Douglas, Angela, Tracy, Starla, Travis, Heather, Carrie, Christopher, Brian, Pam, Rick and Nichole; 28 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Nadine was a member of Alta Vista Baptist Church in Weatherby, MO. She was a vigilant prayer warrior and read her Bible daily. She was a great cook, loved everyone she met, always had a kind word and cheerful heart. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Bram-Turner Funeral Home, Maysville with burial in Alta Vista Cemetery, Weatherby. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions: American Cancer Society.
