Serenus E. Baer, son of the late Eli and Alice Ruth Baer, died Tuesdy Sept. 21, 1948, at the Veteran Hospital, Coatsville, at which place he was a patient for about a month.
Mr. Baer served two enlistments in he U.S. Army, one in 1928 and another in 1931. He became disabled during his second enlistment. His age at death was 42 years, 3 months and 5 days.
Surviving is a daughter, Betty Mae Bair, Harrisburg; a brother, Oscar Baer, Nashville; and four sisters, Mrs. Leonard Emig, Seven Valleys; Mrs. Bruce Trimmer, Mrs. Roy Leipart, and Allean Baer, all of York.
Funeral services were held from the Goodling Funeral Home on Friday afternoon Sept.24th. Interment was made in Stoverstown Cemetery.
