On Saturday the body of Mrs. Emma Root-Jaynes, wife of Mr. Albert Jaynes of Peru, Ind., who formerly lived in this village, was taken to the chapel of E. C. Jenter's undertaking rooms where a short service was held before burial in Oak Grove cemetery. Rev. H. J. Johnson of the Methodist church officiating. The deceased died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Fern and husband in Waukegan, Ill. Mrs. Jaynes was a sister of E. E. Root. Mr. Jaynes is a brother of Alfred Jaynes of this village.
