Mrs. Virginia Francis Collins Hensley, 80, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 at her home. She was born in Surry County on April 11, 1932 to the late James Marion and Mary Etta Lankford Collins. Mrs. Hensley was a homemaker. She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Mary McHone of Pinnacle, Wanda Draughn of Mt. Airy, Joanna Dunford of Westfield, Marsha and Aaron Martin of Lawsonville, Deborah and Hector Hemo of New York; four sons and daughter-in-law, Donald Hensley of Mt. Airy, Paul and Brenda Hensley of Maine, Keith Hensley of Fancy Gap, VA, Kenneth Hensley of Pilot Mountain; fourteen grandchildren; sisteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Kiger of Camp Springs, MD; a brother, R.W. Collins of Pinnacle. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hensley was preceded in death by her husband, Paul William Hensley. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jason Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. The family would like to give a special thank you to Deborah Gentry, Shelby Graybeal and Ginger Marion for their love and care given to Virginia during her illness.
