Robert Joseph Nolan, 80, a resident of Royal Oak, Michigan, since 1949, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a Metal Work Supervisor in the Welding Department of the U.S. Automotive Tank Automotive Command (TACOM) in Warren, Michigan, before his retirement, passed away with a priest at his side on Monday, January 10, 2000, exactly one year after his wife Barbara passed away. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 13, 2000, 7-9 p.m. and Friday, January 14, 2-9 p.m. with rosary said by Deacon Gene Tombler at 7 p.m., at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street (Livernois between 14 Mile and 15 Mile Roads), Clawson, Michigan. Lying in state on Saturday, January 15, 11:30 a.m.-noon at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at noon, officiated by Fr. Robert Spezia. Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
