Born Barbara Kay Lord in Emporia, KS on Friday May 13, 1938 to Ted W & Margaret (Jones) Lord. Family moved to Colorado Springs, CO in 1952. She attended Laboratory School at Emporia State Teachers College, North Junior High School in Colorado Springs. Graduated from Fountain High School 1956 and attended UNC in Greeley. Pianist & accompanist for all musical programs while in high school and church pianist for 17 years. Married Gene Roth in 1957, later divorced. She was a homemaker and mother of five. Moved to Walden, CO in 1976. Married David B. Ware in 1980. Became the 1st Chef at the new Eagles Watch Golf Club and then managed a small grocery store for 10 years. Moved to Windsor in 1989. Employed by Phillips 66 Propane in Ft. Collins – later by Amerigas – retiring in 2001, but returning to the office as part-time employee until April 2006. Interests included: Art & Piano. Hobbies included: sweepstaking, collecting recipes, writing new recipes and Bridge Club (member of ACBL). Pastimes included: cooking, crosswords, puzzles, card games and contests. Member of Y-Wives in Colo Spgs. She valued her family and friends. She was preceded in death by son Andy, her parents, sister Karen and nephew Mark. Survived by husband David, his parents Ronald & Martha Ware, 3 daughters – Tamra Tyler (Neal) Canon City CO, Cathy Eckberg Kenmore WA, Julie Lacy (David) Laramie WY, 1 son - Jeff Roth (Teresa) Colorado Springs CO, 8 Grandchildren – Kristen, Janeal, Jeffrey, Michael, Courtney, Trevor, Devon, Amanda, Skylar. 5 Great Grandchildren – Dillon, Nick, Bethany, Miranda, Cassidy. Also 2 sisters – Diane Quaintance (Harold) Gardner KS, Deborah Treiber (John) Granby CO, 2 brothers Tim Lord (Janet) Clovis CA, Ted Lord AZ and numerous Lord, Roth and Ware nieces and nephews. Services will be at Allnutt Funeral Home in Loveland, CO at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013. Barbara's favorite Charities – Chronic Disease Fund, Frisco TX and Jackson County Library, Walden CO
