Harold Dobbs, age 92, of Coshocton, Ohio, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Oak Point Care Center in Baltic, Ohio. He was born Oct. 13, 1920, in Glen Easton, W.Va., to Alma H. and Blanche (Chapman) Dobbs.

Harold was a private in the United States Army from 1943 to 1945 in the Philippines and Solomon Islands and was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Stars. He was a member of the VFW Post No. 6764 in Westfield, N.Y.

He worked with the Santa Fe Union Pacific Railroad as track personnel and later at B & W as a certified welder and crane operator. He loved gardening and growing flowers.

Survivors include his children, Harold E. "Woody" (Joann) Dobbs of Beloit, Ohio; sisters, Gladys McMillan of Sahuarita, Ariz., and Alice Kapalko of Warren, Ohio; two grandchildren, Edwin R. Dobbs of Brainerd, Minn., and Edwina Dobbs of Las Vegas, Nev.; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and adopted family, Janie A. (Bill Wright) Keaton and Debbie Brickey of Coshocton, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Edwin R. "Eddie" (Nancy) Dobbs; granddaughter, Nancy Jo Dobbs; six brothers; one sister; and special companion of 20 years, Faye Janie Kaiser.

Interment with military honors will take place in the Columbarium at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
