HOUSTON - Gregory Keith Neal, 31, of Houston died Friday at
H.C.A. Medical Center in Houston.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in Texas City. The Rev. Doris N. Benford Jr. will officiate.
Burial will follow at Rising Star Cemetery in La Marque.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mainland Chapel in La
Marque. A wake will be held 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Mainland Chapel.
Mr. Neal was born Jan. 29, 1960, in Los Angeles, Calif. He was an educator.
He was employed in the Dickinson Independent School District
as a history teacher at Dickinson High School. He was a graduate of La Marque High School and Sam Houston State University, and a member of Rising Star Baptist Church.
Survivors include his father, Tom Neal Jr. of La Marque; stepmother, Charlene Neal of La Marque; sister, June E. Benford of Houston; brother, Norris S. Smiley of Clear Lake; brother-in-law, the Rev. Doris N. Benford Jr. of Houston;
grandfather, Tom Neal Sr. of La Marque; aunt, Helen Neal
Antwine of Texas City; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be relatives and friends.
