MILTON - Miles P. Fanning, 88, of 135 W. Madison St., died this morning in Mercy Hospital, Janesville, where he had been a patient the past week.
He was born July 23, 1886, in Johnstown and had been a resident of Milton all his life, farming in the area. He was married to Margaret Cunningham in 1908 in St. Mary Catholic Church. She died Dec. 7, 1967. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Wallace Blank, Milton, and a nephew, Steven Fanning, Orlando, Fla., whom he and his wife raised from infancy.
Services will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday in the Schneider Funeral Home, 10 o'clock in St. Mary Catholic Church, Milton, with burial in the church cemetery.
